What is metamodernism?

Modernism believed in progress unconditionally. Build, scale, conquer. Naive faith in technology.

Postmodernism deconstructed everything. Nothing is real, nothing matters, everything is a construct.

Metamodernism oscillates between both. Sincere yet aware. Idealistic yet pragmatic. Building while knowing it might break.

Applied to AI

Not "AI will replace everyone" — hype

Not "AI is a bubble" — cynicism

Human-AI symbiosis, where each amplifies the other
